For the purpose of expanding dialog related to Ukraine's future within EU, YES and "Renaissance" International Foundation hold "European Debate Forum" in the regions of Ukraine participated by some leading politicians and EU leaders, representatives of the Ukrainian authorities and general public. This year, in March, "European Debate Forum" was held with participation of a leading EU politician, President of Poland (1995-2005) Alexander Kwasniewski. On March 26, "European Debate Forum" was opened in Lviv city, on March 27 – in Dnipropetrovsk City and on March 28 - in Donetsk City.

 

Partners in arranging "European Debate Forum" are the national universities of Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk, Independent journal "Ї" in Lviv City.

 

Format of the event provides for an address by President Alexander Kwasniewski and an open public discussion. Topic of the discussion – "Ukraine's prospects for joining the EU", "Why does the EU need Ukraine?", "What should Ukraine and the EU do now?"
