The North-Atlantic Alliance is the only possibility to protect Ukraine from external aggression, said Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk at the 11th Annual Meeting of the Yalta European Strategy (YES) on Saturday in Kyiv.

“Under these specific circumstances, NATO is the only possibility to protect Ukraine “, said Yatseniuk.
Having said that, he added that in the short-term prospective, the North-Atlantic Alliance is not ready to accept Ukraine.
“However, as the Holy Bible says, if you knock on the door, the door will open. So we decided to knock”, stressed the head of the Ukrainian Government.

Yalta European Strategy (YES) is the leading public diplomacy platform in Eastern Europe to develop strategies for Ukraine and Wider Europe and promote Ukraine’s European integration.
