Resolute reforms essential to success of Kyiv and Ukraine – Vitali Klitschko
14 September 2017

Resolute reforms will be the key to the success of Kyiv and Ukraine, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko has said at the 14th Yalta European Strategy Annual Meeting organized by the Victor Pinchuk Foundation.

"For over three years now, Ukraine has been resisting a military aggression. Crimea is occupied, our defenders are losing lives in the country's east. However, this should not stop us, halt our reforms and transformations, our fight against corruption, and the development of our cities. Only the tangible changes are the key to our success in tackling global challenges," the mayor said.

Klitschko pointed out that the capital should lead other regions of Ukraine by example. He also thanked international partners and friends of Ukraine for their support in its struggle for integrity and independence.

"Without this support, it would be very difficult for us to resist the military aggression. Trust me, we will overcome all the challenges Ukraine is currently facing," Klitschko said.
